What Would You Do? Paid For No Job or Keep Working in Idaho
What would you do? What would you do if your boss offered you 8 months worth of pay to quit your job, while you sit at home, or would you prefer to keep your job and pay moving forward? Would you try to negotiate and get more money or a longer time? Would you miss seeing your coworkers? Would you consult your spouse or family, or make the decision alone? For some, it may seem like an easy decision, especially if you hate your job, but for others, it would be a tough choice. If presented with this offer, what would you do?
Paid to Quit Your Job in Idaho
If offered to stay at home, it would be tempting to enjoy time with your family, sleeping in, perhaps traveling, without the stress of having to go to work every day or answer to a boss. There would likely be days that would seem boring, but most would enjoy being off for close to a year without worrying about money. The problem is that when the time ends, there is no guarantee that another job or paycheck will be waiting. The beginning of your time off would be fun and relaxing, but much of your time would need to be used searching for your next job to make sure you can supply for your family at the end of your break. Would it be worth it though, if the next job doesn't pay as much as the one you recently left?
Working in Idaho
The time off would be great, but the fear of what happens when the 8 months is up would be a concern. It is hard to find good-paying jobs and a job you enjoy, which is why despite how tempting it might be, the best option could be to keep your job. You keep benefits, you could get a raise, and you could be stable for years, if not decades. The time off would cause you to lose health insurance, and despite getting your pay, would likely cost you more in the long run. The hope is that you could find a new job in that time, but it may not be what you want, or where you want if you end up taking the opportunity to move. Having a job you know and are familiar with can make life easier, and might force someone to stay put and turn down the long vacation.

If given the chance to stay at home for 8 months with pay or keep your job and life moving forward, it may be a tough choice, but you would have to think long term and weigh the pros and cons. If presented with this opportunity in Idaho, what would you do?
