What Would You Do? Car Towed During Lunch or Dinner in Twin Falls
What would you do? What would you do if you went in to get lunch or dinner at a restaurant and came out to find your vehicle was no longer where you parked it? No, it wasn't stolen, but instead it was towed. Would you call for a ride? Would you call a friend or family member? Who would you take your frustration out on first? How long would you walk around thinking that you parked somewhere else? Would you be more confused or angry? For some in the Magic Valley, this was recently a reality as they came out from eating to find out their vehicles were no longer where they had parked them.
Vehicles Towed in the Magic Valley
Imagine walking into eat lunch or dinner, enjoying a meal with your friends, family, or coworkers, and then walking out and not being able to find your vehicle. This happens from time to time because maybe someone forgets where they parked, but the more you look, you realize it isn't in the parking lot any longer. Perhaps you might think it was stolen at first, but surely someone would have noticed that, so then you realize your car has been towed. Recently, vehicles were being towed for parking in the wrong parking lot when visiting the new Raising Cane's in Twin Falls. Customers were unhappy to find out that their meal had become more expensive than they had anticipated. Depending on who you ask, some think this shouldn't have happened, despite there being signs warning customers not park in another business's parking lot.
Should Cars Be Towed For Parking in Twin Falls?
With signs being posted, and businesses having the right to tow cars that are parking in their lots and going to another restaurant, no laws are being broken, but should this be allowed? When a parking lot is full, and someone wants to eat at a restaurant, should they be punished for finding a parking spot at the nearest place and walking over? These businesses are open to the public, so therefore, should the parking lots not be open to the public as well, even if those parking spaces go to another place? It is a fine line, but some are upset that their cars are being towed, despite being warned what would happen. By towing potential customers, are these businesses not hurting themselves and their reputation with the community?

Eventually, the crowds will die down, and the excitement will level out over a new place opening, but that doesn't necessarily mean the parking issue will be fully resolved. If you see signs warning you not to park in a certain place unless you are a customer, it is best to obey those signs. If you came out and saw your vehicle was gone, what would you do?
