9 Locations Where In-N-Out Should Be Located in the Magic Valley
In-N-Out is coming to Twin Falls. While there has been a setback with the desired location, and the Planning and Zoning Commission voting against allowing a drive at the area, as well as extended hours, it doesn't mean In-N-Out isn't coming to Twin Falls. There are still options available, and it is likely to happen still, but in what form is the question. Residents of the Magic Valley will sit back and wait to see what happens next, but one clear thing is that a different location will likely be needed to make In-N-Out a reality. With complications at the desired location, where are some other places that In-N-Out could call home in the Magic Valley?
Chili's in Twin Falls
With In-N-Out appearing to want to be somewhat near the interstate, as well as near the entrance to town, the Magic Valley Mall area seems to be ideal. With Outback not appearing to be an option right now, the next best bet could be to try and move into the current Chili's location. While Chili's is unlikely to sell, the location is ideal. There is plenty of space for the lines that will back up, a drive-thru would be easy to install, and Taco Bell has extended hours, so it shouldn't be difficult to get approved. The location is a prime spot visually and easy to get in and out of.
Red Robin in Twin Falls
If Chili's is unavailable, why not go to a similar spot, down the parking lot, and look into taking over Red Robin? It is similar to Chili's in that there is plenty of room, as well as a prime location. These two destinations make the most sense, but like Chili's the question is, would Red Robin be willing to leave? Would residents be ok if it did? The burger chain wouldn't likely be willing to give up such a great location, which makes it tough to see this one working for In-N-Out.
Johnny Carino's in Twin Falls
With Outback not working out at the moment, why not try a similar location in Johnny Carino's? It is on the same side of the street, in the same major parking lot, and only a few feet from the desired location for In-N-Out. The biggest obstacle would be getting the same proposal approved, that got denied at Outback. The location isn't ideal but is an option.
Pole Line and Washington in Twin Falls
Instead of staying near the mall and the Perrine Bridge, In-N-Out could look at other options. The town seems to be growing on the west side, and with a vacant lot at the intersection of Pole Line and Washington, why not put an In-N-Out in, where many food chains seem to be going already? Recently, Chipotle and Wing Stop have opened in that area, and adding In-N-Out makes plenty of sense. With an open lot, it could make for getting in and out of the parking lot easy, and be in a prime location for many residents. Being near the hospital, Walmart, and hotels wouldn't be terrible either.
Hospital on Pole Line in Twin Falls
Perhaps the burger chain would prefer to move down a little further and be directly across from the hospital. There is plenty of room, and being further away from the busier intersections would lessen the worry of traffic flow when it comes to long drive-thru lines. With a neighborhood behind the area, there would be plenty of residents excited to be able to walk to In-N-Out or to be able to grab dinner or lunch on the way home, without having to go out of their way. This option seems the least likely but is one to consider.
Magic Valley Mall Parking Lot in Twin Falls
Heading back towards the mall, there is plenty of room on the back side of the mall, on the Cinema side. Adding an In-N-Out would be the perfect addition, with plenty of open space to not have to worry about parking or the line. The biggest issue with this location is visibility. For tourists and those unfamiliar with Twin Falls, if they do not drive on the backside of the mall, they could miss the burger chain, and that would affect business. Locals would know it is there, but In-N-Out likes to be seen, and hiding behind a mall is not ideal. It checks many boxes, but not all of them.
In-N-Out in Jerome
Perhaps In-N-Out isn't happy with the town of Twin Falls after the vote a few weeks ago. How would residents feel if In-N-Out still decided to come to the Magic Valley, but picked a different town instead? There is likely a location in Jerome near the interstate that would meet their needs, and Jerome would likely welcome them with open arms. It would feel like a gut punch but don't rule out that the burger chain decides to stick it to Twin Falls after things didn't go as planned.
Blue Lakes and Pole Line in Twin Falls
Sitting on the intersection of Pole Line and Blue Lakes currently is an empty car lot. The intersection is the busiest and most popular in town and would be an ideal location for any business. The vacant lot offers plenty of space, is a prime location, and would allow multiple entries in and out of the parking lot. The lot likely already has plans, but if still available, it would be a perfect location for an In-N-Out. Across from Target, the Magic Valley Mall, and near other eating establishments, it would be tough to argue that this isn't the ideal location.
Everise Twin Falls
Sticking with Pole Line and Blue Lakes, if the vacant car lot is indeed purchased already, how about switching corners? Everise offers plenty of room in its parking lot, and between the building and the McDonald's an In-N-Out could be built. The big parking lot allows plenty of space for a drive-thru line and parking for customers, but what would it mean for McDonald's? Would two successful burger chains be able to exist side by side? They could benefit each other, or they could hurt each other's businesses. It is unlikely that the two would want to be so close, but the option is on the table.
There are many unanswered questions about In-N-Out coming to the Magic Valley after the vote was denied recently. Is the burger chain still coming to the area? Where will it be located? Will it still be in Twin Falls or look elsewhere in the Magic Valley? There is a lot of unknown right now, but if they are looking for a new location in town, perhaps one of these would be the best.
