7 Things to Do Before You Leave Twin Falls
Twin Falls is a must-visit for everyone, and for those who live here and move away, it can be devastating to leave. Despite what some say, there is plenty to see and do, and a lot to like about the Magic Valley. There are great outdoor activities, great places to eat, some historical sites, some beautiful attractions, and much more. No matter if you are visiting for a trip or leaving after calling the area home, there are things you need to do in Twin Falls before you leave town.
See the Shoshone Falls
The biggest attraction in the area and one of the main reasons many people visit Twin Falls is to see one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world. The Niagara of the West is a sight to see, especially when the falls are full and roaring. No matter if you saw them a week ago, it's been months, or even a year or two, you have to see the falls one final time before leaving the area.
Eat Cloverleaf One Last Time
A staple in the Magic Valley for decades, Cloverleaf offers some of the best ice cream you will find anywhere. You can make the drive out to Buhl and visit the original store and get a cup or cone, as well as a bottle of fresh chocolate milk or regular milk, or you can go to the market located in downtown Twin Falls. Some ice cream before you leave is a must.
See The Perrine Bridge From the Canyon
Similar to the Shoshone Falls, the Perrine Bridge is a major reason for many visiting Twin Falls each year. There are many different angles to view the bridge from, but Centennial Park is the most beautiful view in most people's opinions. Get down and take in the Snake River, the canyon, and check out the Perrine Bridge one final time. Perhaps even take a selfie or a family picture with it in the background.
Watch an Idaho Sunset
Idaho sunsets are a great way to end a day in the Gem State. There are some beautiful spots to catch a sunset, and if the skies are clear on your final day in town, make sure to get out of city limits and watch the sunset on one of the most beautiful states one final time before leaving town.
Grab a Swig Drink Before Leaving Twin Falls
While Swig is not a local chain, it is near the Perrine Bridge, which means it isn't hard to stop by and get a drink to enjoy as you begin driving out of town and heading to your next destination. There are a variety of drinks to choose from, and they have something for everyone. Get yourself something tasty to enjoy while you drive.
Get Some Anchor Cheese Curds For the Road
Now that you have a drink, it is best to get some food as well. Since certain types of foods are hard to eat in the car, get yourself an order of cheese curds to go from your favorite local restaurant. Anchor offers a good choice, and you can pop them in your mouth to keep your stomach satisfied as you drive. You may want two orders to make sure you have enough to get you through your drive, because they don't typically last long.
Eat Dinner at Your Favorite Twin Falls Restaurant
Before you pack up and leave town, make sure to enjoy one final lunch or dinner at a local restaurant that you can't have anywhere else. There are many places to choose from, and it can be tough to only have one meal, knowing you are missing out on other places. Choose a place with a view of the canyon, like Redhawk or Elevation, go to a place with a fun atmosphere like The Cove or Anchor, get a good burger at Burger Stop, or any of the other hidden gems in the area.

There are many things you should do before you leave the Magic Valley, whether you are visiting or live here and are deciding to move. These are some recommendations, but the time of year may dictate what you decide to do and what your options are as well. During the summer, kayaking the river would be a good option, and during the winter, tubing in the South Hills or going snowboarding or skiing could be an option as well. Make sure to enjoy Twin Falls to the fullest before you leave by doing some of the above.
