Hwy 30 Music Festival Reveals Big Saturday Headliner
The headline for Gordy's Hwy 30 Music Festival for Saturday night has been kept secret. Well, the secret is officially out as of Monday, January 24th. The Turnpike Troubadors will be the headliner for Saturday night after Sam Riggs.
The Turnpike Troubadours started getting big around 2015 but ended up breaking up due to issues between the band members. They decided to get back together and tour again. They will actually be playing opposite Willie Nelson at the Windy City Smokeout prior to coming to the Hwy 30 Music Festival.
Rolling Stone wrote up a story about Turnpike Troubadours playing this year at the Windy City Smokeout in Chicago, Jackalope Jamboree in Pendleton Oregon, and then Under the Big Sky festival in Montana. They have a busy year ahead of them and we are excited to see them on June 25th.
If you aren't sure if you know any songs by Turnpike Troubadours, you probably do. Back in 2015, their self-titled album make it to number 17 in the Billboard 200. They sing "Long hot Summer Days" and "Good Lord Lorrie"
The buying process is a little different. You had to sign up for raffle codes in order to be able to purchase tickets. The goal was to prevent scalpers, scammers, and bots from purchasing the tickets and reselling them for ridiculous prices. So in order to get tickets, you must PM the Hwy 30 Music Festival Facebook page for a personal link.
