Fall is one of the most beautiful times of the year. If you are the type of person that loves to travel to see the amazing fall leaf colors, there is actually a map that tells you when, where, and the color of the leaves on the weekends you want to go.

Fall Foliage Map For Leaves

The fall foliage prediction map is interactive and pretty amazing. It shares all the different colors of leaves in each county during each weekend. So, for example, if you wanted to go this weekend, you would have to travel further north to see some of the leaves. The South Hills might have some changing colors as well, the start of it anyway. Further north is definitely the answer if you want to go right now.

When The Leaves Officially Start To Change

If you are looking for patchy colors that are somewhere in between full fall and partial summer, the leaves will start partially turning around October 3rd in the area. Twin Falls and the Magic Valley will have minimal changes, but the South Hills and further west will be a little more fall-like. The further you go north starting in October, the more you will see color changes.

The Best Time To Go See Leaves Around Twin Falls

The start of peak season for full-color bloom will start around October 17th. The South Hills will be in full swing by then. The west and further north will be passed the peak time to see it but there will still be great colors. October 24th will be the absolute best time to check out the leaves around the Twin Falls area. The leaves will stick around until, probably, around November 7th.

This is a foliage map predictor based on previous years. I have a feeling it is pretty accurate. I love fall.
