Places closing in the Magic Valley can always be depressing, especially if it was a place you enjoyed. When one of your favorite places to shop, eat, or a place you do business with closes, it can take time to adapt. While some grieve the losses, others are excited at the possibilities of what will move in next. It may seem insensitive, but it doesn't take long to start looking ahead at what should fill a building that is no longer in business. There is a building sitting in the Magic Valley that recently went out of business, and the question now turns to what could be next to fill the space?

What Should Move into Capriotti's in Twin Falls?

For those unaware, Capriotti's recently closed in Twin Falls, and while the building isn't empty yet, eventually things will be moved out and something new will move in, but what would get residents the most excited? With multiple places having closed in the area over the last few years, what can succeed in this location, and what makes the most sense? The place has a kitchen but no drive-thru, is near residential, near shopping, and across from a high school. Taking all these into account, here are a few places that should take over.

A Bagel Shop in Twin Falls

One of the biggest complaints about the food scene in Twin Falls is the lack of a bagel shop. Many in the Magic Valley would love to have a place they can stop by, get a bagel on their way to work, and enjoy a good breakfast to start their day. Having it on the way to the hospital and across from a high school seems like an ideal location and would be a welcome addition to Twin Falls.

A Bigger Costa Vida in Twin Falls

By now, many know that Costa Vida is coming back to the Magic Valley. Their location will be the former Boomerang Coffee, which is conveniently located right next door and attached to Capriotti's. Would it be best to knock down the wall between the two places and give Costa Vida a bigger area for seating, a bigger kitchen, and more room to do business? It seems like this is a likely scenario, and could be the best of the options on this list.

A Seafood Restaurant

Buhl is the trout capital of the world, and Idaho is home to some great places to fish, yet the area lacks a great seafood restaurant. While the space would limit seating and not allow for a fine dining area, it could offer a place where people can come in and get good fish and chips, a fish sandwich, or a seafood platter or entrée. Twin Falls would be thrilled to have a good seafood restaurant in the area, and it could be a possibility.

Food Truck Permanent Location

The Magic Valley is home to some amazing food trucks, but the negative is not knowing where they will be. It seems like when you are craving them, you can never find them, and when you find them, you aren't hungry. Perhaps with a building waiting to be claimed, a food truck could make it their permanent home to increase business while still operating their food truck for events. This is the least likely option, as it is cheaper to stay in a food truck, but one can hope.

Krispy Kreme Donuts in Twin Falls

Yes, there are donut shops in Twin Falls, and some very good ones at that. Each shop offers something different, but nobody compares to Krispy Kreme. Without a drive-thru, it is unlikely that they would move into this location, but there are Krispy Kremes that don't have one, and perhaps this could be one of them. Being able to get a box of donuts on the way to school, after school, or going to the hospital would make this a great location. The biggest question would be, would this hurt Duck Donuts, or could they both survive this close to each other?

Some of these options are highly unlikely, while others seem more like a real possibility. While Capriotti's has only recently closed, the thought of what could take over is exciting. If not one of the ideas listed above, what would you like to see take over the location?
