Have You Checked Out This New Market in the Magic Valley?
The Magic Valley is a revolving door of businesses. It seems like every month, week, or even day, a place closes, and another one pops up to replace it. There are a few vacant buildings still in the area that need to be filled, but some of them flip from one business to another so fast that you don't even realize a building was empty. A new market has recently opened in the Magic Valley, and you may not know it if you haven't driven by lately or haven't been paying attention.
New Market in the Magic Valley
There are various places to shop in the Magic Valley. There is Costco, Walmart, Target, WinCo, Albertsons, Smith's, and much more. Many of these places offer the same type of items. It makes it tough when you are looking for a certain item that neither of them has, and perhaps what you need and want is at the newest market in Twin Falls. For those unaware, Market Sahara is the newest market in the Magic Valley and opened back in October. The store is still adding supplies to its shelves and stocking the store with items you won't find anywhere else in the area. With the Middle Eastern population growing in the area, there weren't many options to get Middle Eastern food in Southern Idaho, but thanks to Market Sahara, now there are.
Market Sahara in Twin Falls
Market Sahara is located at 600 Main Avenue North in Twin Falls, where Sweet T's used to be. The store is open 9 AM to 9 PM Monday through Friday and 9 AM to 7 PM on Saturday and Sunday. The store offers items that you won't find anywhere else. They got candies, spices, drinks, and food items that many of those in the Middle East enjoy. If you like spicy food, this is the place to shop. Because the location used to be a restaurant, the hope is to have a few tables in the future and have food to eat in the store for a lunch and dinner area. When I asked the owner why he wanted to start the market, he answered that their friends and family didn't have anywhere in town to get the food and spices they wanted, and the market allows them to do so without having to order online or go to Boise or Salt Lake City. If you haven't stopped by, it is worth checking out to see if you want to try something new, or perhaps they have something you desire and can't get in other stores.
