What Would You Do? Getting Your Order Wrong in Idaho
What would you do? What would you do if you received your order from the drive-thru or picked it up to find out it was incorrect? Would you turn and go back? Would you deal with the consequences? Does it matter how the order is screwed up? Does it matter where the order came from? Nobody is perfect, and from time to time, your orders will get messed up, but then you need to decide if it's worth getting it corrected, potentially waiting in a line again, or if you go on your way and let it be and not let it become a big deal. Are you mean and angry about it, or do you handle it with grace and understanding? It's happened to us all, but how do you handle it?
Orders Messed Up in Idaho
During the holiday season, many drive-thru restaurants are busy as many are out shopping, going to Christmas events, wanting to celebrate the new year. or looking at Christmas lights. It seems that these places are busier than any other time of year, and from time to time they will mess up an order, and it could be yours. Perhaps it is something simple like no tomatoes or mustard, or maybe it is wanting a special item specifically. It could be something major like a food allergy, and that could be a costly mistake. Depending on the mistake, how do you respond? A tomato or an onion can be removed and likely isn't worth going back in for, but missing something you wanted, especially after you pay for it, is a different story. What if you order a drink and they mess it up by adding a flavor you didn't want or leaving a flavor out that you did?
How to Handle Wrong Orders in Idaho
Recently, when going through a drive-thru, I ordered a special drink with multiple flavors. I asked for a specific one to be removed, and sadly, they included it in my drink. It overpowered the flavor and was easy to taste, but despite the mistake, I drank it anyway and never went back. The wait was long, the place was understaffed, and it didn't seem worth it to go back. Would you have done the same, or would you want your drink exactly how you ordered it? I came across a post, which you can see above, about a man who ordered a chocolate shake, and the employee lied, saying the color was light, only to discover it was a vanilla shake. Like me, this person also didn't get mad but was more upset about the lie than the mistake.

There are different ways orders can be messed up, and missing items typically will result in the need to go back, since they are paid for. A mistake in flavoring may result in taking the loss and either giving the drink or food item to someone else, or eating or drinking it still. If your order gets messed up, what would you do?
