Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 11 pm this evening to 11 am Thursday.

The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow in the Southwest Highlands, Western Magic Valley, and Southern Twin Falls County, which is in effect from 11 pm this evening to 11 am Thursday.

  • Snow amounts: 1 to 3 inches in the valleys and 3 to 5 inches in the mountains. Rain may mix with snow below 3500 feet.
  • Snow levels: Between 3000 and 3500 feet.
  • Winds: South 5 to 15 mph tonight shifting to the west and increasing to 15 to 25 mph Thursday morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling and blowing snow. Use caution when traveling especially in open areas.
