What would you do? What would you do if you lost your keys, phone, or wallet over the canyon rim in Twin Falls? If your child or someone threw them over the cliff, and you could see them or needed them, would you risk it to get them? Would you leave them there, knowing someone else could get them eventually? How far would it have to go before you say leave it, and does it matter which item goes over the rim? If you decide to get them, how would you go about it? This is something you hope never happens, but if it were to happen to you unfortunately, what would you do?

Anytime you visit the canyon rim in Twin Falls, there is always a fear of falling in. The only thing worse than falling in is having a personal item get tossed in. It could be having something fall out of your hand, your child throwing it in, or perhaps a friend or family member throwing it as a prank. Depending on how far it goes, there is a chance that you could rescue the item, but is it worth the risk? Does it depend on the item? Losing your car keys would be bad, but they can be replaced, and losing your phone would be bad too, but could also be replaced. Losing your wallet would likely be the worst, but you can cancel all your cards, get a new ID, and hope nobody will ever rescue it.

Recently, someone lost their phone over the canyon rim, when their child threw it over the side. They asked for someone to use a drone to help them rescue it, but that likely isn't a great option. Calling the fire department is an option, but is it important enough to bother them? It is best to leave it, and nobody should ever risk attempting to get it themselves, no matter how close it may or may not be. While tempting, it is best to accept your loss, leave the item, and let nature handle what happens to it.

Make sure to leave items in the car when near the canyon rim, have a tight grip on your items, or not let children hold anything that they could toss off the side. If you found yourself in a situation like the people above and had an important personal item get tossed over the canyon rim, what would you do?
