What Would You Do? Cats Living At Your House in the Magic Valley
What would you do? What would you do if every time you opened your door a cat greeted you and was in your way, meowing, making you trip, and wouldn't go home? Would you kick at it? Would you hiss at it? Are you the type of person who would pick it up and love on it or feed it? Would you talk to it like it is a person as you walk by? Would you call animal control to take it away, or would you approach the person it belongs to if you knew who owned the cat? Many cats are roaming the streets in Idaho, and far too many hang out in front of homes and buildings they don't belong to, but if you came out and were greeted by one, what would you do?
Stray Cats in Twin Falls
We have all seen the cats that roam the Magic Valley. Some live in the park, some in neighborhoods, and some at places of work. At my work, we have some that we have adopted as a company and feed and make sure they are taken care of. They are not officially adopted but they come and eat, some want to be petted, and they stay out of the way mostly. These cats are cared for, not annoying, and are good work pets. Then some cats lay in the way, follow you, meow at the door, and can be annoying. Luckily these are not the ones at my work, but there is one like this at my home that will not go away, despite living three houses down. If you could hear one meowing at your door from inside your living room, or nearly tripping you every morning as you go to the car, what would you do?
How to Handle Cats in Twin Falls
If you had a neighbor's cat that annoyed you and refused to leave, what would you do? Would you carry it over to the neighbor's house? What if they ignored you or didn't care and it kept coming back? You could adopt it and let it in, as they clearly wouldn't know. You could call to have someone come take it, but then the cat may get put down or never find a home, which isn't fair to it. You could take it somewhere and dump it elsewhere, but again you leave it vulnerable to other animals in the area or it getting run over. You could ignore it and hope that eventually, it finds a new home to spend time at, but that is wishful thinking.

Many residents in Twin Falls have cats, but let them roam freely and don't take care of them. Some let them out and they return home, while others roam and never see their owners. Far too many are on the streets and it is why so many are often killed by cars. If you had one that felt safe at your home and was always there, yet wasn't yours, what would you do?
