This is the Most Dangerous Road in Idaho
Idaho's terrain inevitably creates some dangerous roads for drivers. According to the Advocates Injury Attorneys, Idaho is about to hit an all-time high in traffic-related fatalities. There are some roads and highways specifically in the Gem State to use extra caution when driving on due to their notorious conditions.
As it turns out the most dangerous road in Idaho isn't a rocky backroad or anything; it happens to be US-95 which is ranked as one of the worst highways in the entire country. US-95 has seen a rapid increase in the annual number of fatal car accidents over the last few years. In just the last decade alone, US-95 has seen over 140 fatal crashes.
If you're not a local Idahoan, you may be advised as an out-of-state drivers to avoid this roadway especially during holiday weekends such as Memorial Day weekend and 4th of July due to the high traffic which only increases your chances of an accident.
Other honorable mentions include Lolo Pass/Highway 12 which can be almost a death trap for motorist during the winter season. Mix 99 miles of slick, winding turns with icy road conditions and that's a recipe for hundreds of accidents.
If you're ever traveling in Interstate 15 in Inkom, beware of all the wildlife that surrounds you. It sort of serves as a bridge for wildlife to crossing the busy roadway. Thousands of deer live right in this area making it very possible for some collisions.
Highway 34 and Highway 20 also make the list as being some of the most dangerous roads in Idaho.
