Idaho is a beautiful state, and apparently, others are catching onto the natural beauty, because more and more people are moving to Idaho. The population is seeing an increase and so is the housing market and everything else is increasing as well. As nice as the natural beauty is perhaps the people contemplating moving here should take a step back and reassess. Idaho sucks, and there are a lot of things to not like about living here. Last year a story was released on reasons why Idaho sucks, but here are a few more to add to the list.

There Are Too Many Kayaking Places

One thing about Idaho that sucks is that when it comes to kayaking, picking which spot to go to that day isn't easy. There are so many good places to go kayaking that choosing is a tough decision every time. There is usually a good spot in any direction within twenty minutes. It is nice to have choices, but with so many good spots, it is tough and sometimes the argument of where to go will make you eventually not want to go because nobody can decide. The beauty of the state can be negative sometimes.

Too Many Deer to Hunt

Many people in Idaho like to hunt. Some like going for sport, while others like to go for the meat, and a few just for the fellowship with their friends or family. The problem with hunting in Idaho is that there is a lot of elk and deer, but you are limited on how many you can tag per year. When you have reached your limit and see so many still out there, it is tough. It is tough to drive by a field and see dozens of deer grazing, knowing you can't get them due to where they are located as well. The life of a hunter can sometimes be tough in Idaho.

It is Illegal to Own Mountain Lions

My children keep asking for a cat, and it sucks that there is one that keeps roaming around outside that would make for a great kitty to play with and pet, except it is illegal to own, because it is a mountain lion. Why I can't capture a perfectly good free cat to let my children play with and own as a pet is unacceptable. Instead, I have to spend my hard-earned money and go buy them one from a pet store, a shelter, or from someone selling kittens out of a box on the corner. Thanks a lot, Idaho.

A Song is Proving Idaho Sucks

If you need proof that Idaho sucks, watch the video above. Nothing more needs to be said, the song says it all pretty well.

Idaho is too Close to Other States

Anyone that has lived in Idaho for a significant amount of time knows most Idahoans don't like people from other states. One thing that sucks about living here, is that other states are too close. Idaho needs to be more like Hawaii or Alaska and be further away from our fellow Americans so we can enjoy our state in peace, and make them fork up the money and put in some work to visit. Perhaps a fence or wall around the Gem State would work, but until we break off from the country or put up a boundary, Idaho will continue to suck by being too close to other places.

So Much Beef You Can't Eat

Driving through Idaho, you will notice there are tons of cows everywhere. It is frustrating to see all those potential hamburgers, steaks, and delicious meals standing in a field or sitting there instead of on my plate. There is so much potential everywhere you look, but instead, these large animals are taking up space and not filling our bellies. It sucks to see your meal staring back at you, knowing you can't have it.

Roads Are Too Open to Text

Most drivers text and drive in some capacity. They shouldn't, but we all do it seems. At stoplights, in a drive-thru, or even going on the road we will take a peek at our phones. On the interstate, it isn't as easy to take a peek, and in most places, there will be a traffic jam or two to give you time to send a text or check social media, but in Idaho, there isn't enough traffic to allow you to do so and instead, we are often driving at 80 miles per hour, which makes it unsafe and tough to check our phones. A little traffic jam wouldn't be too much to ask for from time to time so we can see what is happening online.

Most of these are tongue-in-cheek and can be justified. Having options to kayak is great and it shows the beauty of the state that it is such a tough choice. The song is funny, and will likely have you laughing. Nobody should be texting and driving on the interstate, no matter where you live. Those cows will make it to our plates eventually. Idaho may prefer to be further away, but having so many surrounding states make for nice weekend getaways and road trips. Owning a mountain lion isn't smart, even if it were legal. As far as the deer go, there are a lot and it does suck for hunters, but it means you likely will come home with a tag when you go. If you do think Idaho sucks, then you can get out, but make sure to tell you friends it does, so they stay away.
