Fast food is a great luxury and while it isn't the healthiest way to eat, it is nice to have options when traveling, after a long day of work, or when out running errands. There are always those days and nights when nobody wants to make dinner and a quick visit to a fast food chain is the best option. It is typically affordable, quick, and often hits the spot. Many have their usual orders they get at each place, rarely changing what they get. Some of this is due to the menus not changing often and other times it is due to wanting what you know and like. One major fast food chain has made a change to its menu for the first time in four years, and if you haven't seen the change you need to check it out.

It has been a long time since McDonald's made a change to their menu, but after four years, they are making some changes to compete with other fast food chains. Yes, McDonald's will add items for a limited time here and there, but this change is said to be permanent moving forward. McDonald's has decided to jump on the chicken bandwagon as chicken strips have grown in popularity more and more over the last few years. McDonald's will now offer McCrispy Strips and customers will have the option of a three-count or four-count and even be able to dip them in a new dipping sauce, Chili Crispy Sauce. This is not the only change though coming to the menu.

Along with the new McCrispy Strips, McDonald's has also decided to rival Wendy's and Chick-fil-A in the drink department. Earlier this year select McDonald's began offering lemonade and it quickly became a customer favorite. Last month McDonald's decided based on the feedback that they would offer lemonade nationwide and have been doing so for the last few weeks. If you haven't stopped by a McDonald's lately, you might be surprised to see the new options and it might be time to change up your usual order and try something new.
