UPDATE: Police Respond to Reports of Alleged Child Enticement
UPDATE, 3:30 p.m. Sept. 5: The Twin Falls Police Department said Wednesday afternoon that has new information about two alleged incidences of child enticement over the weekend.
In the statement published on the city’s website, the police department explains:
Twin Falls Police Detectives were able to follow up on several leads and have identified the white vehicle and individuals involved with the two reports of child enticement from this past Saturday and Sunday.
At this time there is no evidence to believe these individuals are a threat to the community. The Twin Falls Police Department would like thank our community for their attention and assistance in this matter.
“The Twin Falls Police Department always takes reports of this nature very seriously,” Lt. Terry Thueson said. “We want to remind parents to continue talking to their children about stranger danger and remind them frequently never to get into the vehicle of a stranger.
“Please continue to be vigilant as a community and if you see something, say something.”

Police say the first alleged incident was reported on Saturday in the area of Morningside Elementary School, and the second alleged incident on Sunday in the 1800 Block of 4th Avenue East.
Both reports identify the suspect as an adult male, possibly driving a van, according to police, noting that detectives are following up on leads in an effort to establish a better description of the suspect and his vehicle.
Anyone with information about these events should contact Det. Ken Rivers at 208-735-7200.
