It has begun. I started my Christmas shopping over Labor Day weekend. Before you call me crazy. I've learned that Christmas isn't nearly as painful if you start early. Did I say painful? I meant Christmas is more joyful if you start your shopping early.

I've also learned that buying gifts from local festivals or craft shows is better than buying everything from the big box stores.

CSI hosts The Harvest Time Festival at The CSI Expo center every year. This event is a huge craft show in Twin Falls. You can find homemade decor, food, gifts, clothing, furniture, etc. The Festival will be held on:

  • Friday, November 11th from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm
  • Saturday, November 12th - 10:00 am to 7:00 pm
  • Sunday, November 13th - 10:00 am to 4:00 pm

General Admission is $3.00 per person, children under 10 are free. Or buy a full weekend pass for $7.00 per person.

Another festival that you and your friends will love is the Fall Harvest Festival in Boise. This festival will be held on:

  • Saturday, October 1 from noon to 6:00pm
  • Sunday, October 2 from noon to 6:00 pm

General Admission is $7 for Adults, $5 for children ages 5 to 12, all children under 4 are free. Garden members will only pay $5.

This Festival is held at the Idaho Botanical Garden. The family-friendly event offers live music, wagon rides, beer and wine garden, food vendors, the Scarecrow Stroll, and kids’ activities. Guests can shop in the artist market which features a variety of art from local artisans! The Garden will be closed for general admission before and after the event times.

Now that you have a few festival dates, do you plan on starting your Christmas shopping anytime soon?
