Does the Magic Valley have a more relaxed dress code?
When I first moved here, I realized that in many local businesses, even government offices, the dress code is a little more lax. In my youth working at a department store, women weren't even allowed to wear pants. The dress code was skirts, coiffed hair, tidy appearance and dress shoes. Back to school was the only time we were allowed to wear pants, much less jeans.
Friday is now jeans or capris with a t-shirt, even sandals - FLIP FLOPS - are fine. So, considering the workplace here is a bit different, are the light-up shoes too far? Not far enough? Whimsy. Let's go with a "whimsical tribute" to dress down Friday!
