IDOC Convict Went for an Unauthorized Walk From Work
The Idaho Department of Correction (IDOC) is currently looking for a convict who walked away from his job in the community on April 3rd at about 8 AM.
Daniel Eugene Palmer, IDOC # 126620, age 48, is a white male 6 feet 1 inch tall weighing 225 lbs with green eyes and brown hair. He was last seen dressed in a dark blue button-up shirt, blue jeans, and black tennis shoes.
Palmer's criminal record in Idaho includes a conviction for possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and eluding a police officer from Kootenai County. He was eligible for parole since Sep. 16, 2022, and his sentence was to be discharged on Jan. 21, 2025.
Palmer was working at Frazier Industrial at 2255 W. 49th S in Idaho Falls. He may be driving a stolen 2010 black Honda Accord.

Daniel Eugene Palmer, 48, was last seen at his work site. He has been a resident of the Community Reentry Center since June 2023.
Reentry Centers are residences for inmates who are nearing release. They are intended to allow inmates to work and have a chance to reunite with family and the community. This preparation provides protection to the community with a secure residential building while requiring accountability of the residents.
There are 5 Community Reentry Centers in the state of Idaho. The first center was East Boise Community Reentry Center which opened in July 1980.
