Growing up, many kids spend time with their grandmas and moms in the kitchen, pushing the cookie cutters and decorating their cookies. Perhaps you are someone who enjoys a snickerdoodle, and the holidays aren't complete without a batch made. The kiss cookie is a common one that many enjoy as it combines a delicious peanut butter cookie, topped with a chocolate kiss, and makes for the perfect holiday treat. There are many options out there, and each family has different cookies they make this time of year. Choosing only one is not easy, especially if you have a mom, grandma, or someone in the family who has always made a variety through the holidays. Choosing one means missing out on another of your favorites. 

The Best Christmas Cookie in Idaho

My mom was always someone who made a variety of candies and cookies during the holidays, and I had the favorites that I looked forward to every year. There were Oreo balls, peanut butter balls, M&M cookies, sugar cookies, the kiss cookie, and even a Rollo cookie that melted in your mouth. I enjoyed every one and would give anything to receive that tin of cookies again. If I could only choose to enjoy one of those cookies one more time, though, my all-time favorite is the kiss cookie. It has the perfect combination of everything, and my mom's always stayed soft and chewy. Others make these as well, but nobody can make it like your mom or grandma.
