The National Weather Service in Boise has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for snow in the Western Magic Valley and Southern Twin Falls County which is in effect from 8pm Friday to 11am Saturday.

  • Snow amounts: 2 to 4 inches.
  • Winds: Southwest 10 to 15 mph with gusts to near 20 mph.
  • Timing: Snow will begin to spread into the area after 8pm Friday and linger over the area through Saturday morning.
  • Impacts: Travel hazard. Area roads will become snow covered. Exposed areas will see low visibility in blowing and drifting snow.

Precautionary/preparedness actions

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow and blowing snow means that visibilities will be limited due to a combination of falling and blowing snow. Use caution when traveling especially in open areas.
