What would you do? What would you do if you looked on the ground and found money in a store, in the parking lot, or at a public place? Would you turn it in and hope to return it to the owner? Would you pocket it and keep it? Would it matter how much money you find? Does it matter if it is a dollar bill, in an envelope, or a wallet? With everything being so expensive, every dollar is so valuable and the universe has blessed you with an opportunity but you have a decision to make. If you found money in Idaho, what would you do?

Finding money on the ground can be a surprise, but it can also force a dilemma as well. Some will pick up the bill, pocket it, and never think twice about it. Some will turn it in instantly, claiming the money wasn't theirs and never should have been, and hope it makes its way back to its owner. Then there is the majority of people who will contemplate what the right and wrong thing is to do. Depending on where you find the money can dictate what you do, as well as the amount that is found. A dollar or five dollars found is likely going into most pockets without a thought. Finding money when nobody is around is a simple solution as well, but if you find the money in a store or the parking lot of a store and it is more than five dollars, then things get more tricky.

When in a store and you find a bill on the ground, is there an amount that triggers your brain to turn it into customer service? Does it cross your mind that turning it in may seem like the right thing, but you likely handed money to an employee who will never report it? If a certain amount is where you decide to turn it in, what is that amount? For some it may be $10, for others, it might be $20, and for some, it may not be until it is $100 or more. Others will have no value and bank whatever they find no matter what. If the money is in an envelope or a wallet, it makes turning it in a little easier, compared to finding a stray dollar bill. This is a situation where your morals are put into question, and you find out how you are as a person.

With most people not carrying cash, the odds of finding money on the ground these days are less than ever before. There are still bills that fall each day, and somebody has to find them. Occasionally that person will be you, and if it is, what would you do?
