What Would You Do? Child Being Bullied in Idaho School
What would you do? What would you do if you found out your child was being bullied online or at school in the Gem State? Would you tell them to figure it out and stand up to their bully? Would you step in and intervene? Would you tell your child to tell their teacher or someone in school, or do it yourself? Would the inner teenager in you take over and you would handle the situation yourself? Bullying is something we have all dealt with at some point in life and is a part of going to school and growing up, but finding out your child is being bullied is different than when it happened to you. As a parent, if your kid is being bullied, what would you do?
Children Bullied in Idaho Schools
Growing up most people are bullied or bully someone, or perhaps both. It is a part of growing up, but when you are a parent it is much tougher. As a child, you could stand up for yourself and fight against your bully, run from your problems by transferring schools or being homeschooled, or tell a teacher or your parents. In 2025, if a child is bullied, it follows them everywhere with social media, and as a parent, you don't know how to handle the situation often. While the inner teenager in you may want to stand up for your child and fight their bully, you can't go around punching kids. This makes it tougher on parents, especially ones from a generation that used to deal with conflict in that manner. So what do you do?
How to Handle Bullies in Idaho
The obvious answer is to step in and tell a school official what is happening. However, as mentioned above, with social media, it is impossible for a school to monitor bullying outside of school hours and for kids to fully escape it. You can talk to the bully's parents, and while a good option, doesn't mean that it will end the problem. You could move away or pull your child from that school, but then your child thinks it is ok to run away from their problems. There is no good right or wrong answer when it comes to helping your child face their bully, but being supportive and helping them the best way you see fit is a start.

We all have bullies, but in 2025 it is much different than most of us remember. Not being able to relate to the torture and not being able to escape the bullying makes it tough for parents to relate and know how to handle the situation. Being a present parent and loving your child is the best thing to do, and speaking with the school to set up a meeting with the other parents is likely best. If your child is being bullied and comes to you, what would you do?
