10 Candy Cane Flavors Inspired By Idahoans
I think Idahoans should get into the candy cane business! Every year you hear of new or strange flavors of candy canes coming out that people want to try. Let's jump on the bandwagon. If Idahoans created candy cane flavors, this is what they would look like.
The best thing about candy canes is they can be pretty much anything. There are candy canes that focus on the sweet, the savory, and the disgusting.
I think this one is a no-brainer. Potato flavors could be anything, mashed, loaded baked, scalloped, or raw. The possibilities are endless! Everyone loves potatoes. It could even come in a pack with a "gravy" candy cane too! Mix them together. Genius!
Falls Brand Bacon
It is the best bacon in the world and it would be great as a candy cane flavor. It can't be any bacon except Falls Brand. We can tell the difference. I would eat all the candy canes.
Idahoans seem to enjoy a more savory plate of food. Finger steaks are a staple. I am not sure how they would be as a candy cane but I know I would try it at least once. Maybe in the box add one with cocktail sauce flavoring?
This would be a great candy cane! I can eat fry sauce right out of the container. It is great on everything and with everything. Nothing screams Idaho flavor quite like fry sauce.
Owyhee Idaho Spud
This candy is all over the place, might as well make it a candy cane. You aren't a true Idahoan until you have had a few of these. Crusted with coconut would be great too.
They might already have one of these actually. But, if they do, you know Idaho was part of it. Huckleberry everything is life.
Ok, admittedly this one doesn't sound that great. But with Hagerman trout being so popular and everywhere, it seems fitting. I bet if it tasted like smoked Hagerman trout it wouldn't be too bad.
I would buy these candy canes just to smell them. That sounds weird to some people, but if you know what I mean, you know what I mean. I am not sure how it would taste though. Hot? Metallic like?
It takes like money. That makes sense to me. It might not smell the best, but I bet it tastes good. The candy cane wouldn't smell good but it would taste good. Makes sense to me.
You never really know what it is. It is a mix of all the flavors combined with slightly stronger flavors that are different in each candy cane. It is a mystery, just like the smells around the area.
