Vote for October’s Hometown Hero
After much consideration, 95.7 KEZJ has three nominations for you, our listeners, to vote for. Here's some information on our finalists for October 2019's The Duran Group Powered By Epic Realty's Hometown Hero.
Kirsten Brown - According to the nominator, Kirsten started up a group called Idaho Angels, which helps people in need. She collects goods and distributes them to people in need. When someone has a tragedy, Kirsten finds out what they need and she will go out of her way to get most if not all the needs meet. She doesn't change anyone for anything. Not even if she has to go along distance to deliver. She is always watching to see who needs help. Doesn't matter who it is, she is there to help. She does Thanksgiving, Christmas drives, Easter even coat and school drives because no child or anyone should ever have to go without. The nominator says she has a heart of gold and is an amazing woman who puts the needs of people first. The nominator said she has also started a page for missing children and people. They believe she deserves to be recognized for the amazing things she does for people just out of the kindness of her heart.
Mitchell (Mitch) Tilley - The nominator says Mitch Tilley is a dedicated Music Teacher/Director. He makes sure every student that wants to join a band has an instrument even if they can't afford one. Mr. Tilley has even purchased instruments out his own pocket for students to use. The nominator says he works tirelessly to be there for all 300+ students. Thanks to Mr. Tilley, he and his students have brought back many awards to Gooding Schools. Gooding School District is lucky to have him as their music director. The nominator says if you haven't heard Gooding School's bands or choirs yet, you're missing out. The hard work and talent he and his students put into their music shows at every performance.
Dave Wright - Dave Wright previously worked as the owner of Kimberly Nurseries. According to the nominator, Dave Wright is an awesome guy who will go the extra mile to help someone out. The nominator said he has helped them out many times as well as others in the community. When working with the nurseries, he would pick veteran's homes and their families and do clean up and landscaping on their property. He has also worked as a minister.
