After much consideration, 95.7 KEZJ has three nominations for you, our listeners, to vote for. Here's some information on our finalists for November 2019's The Duran Group Powered By Epic Realty's Hometown Hero.

Velma Anderson - According to the nominator, Velma Anderson doesn’t just have one job- some may say she has many. She is the chef and the Twin Falls Senior Center. She also works with people who have mental health issues and disabilities. Velma is the type of person who will drop whatever she’s doing to help a person out if they ask for help. Velma puts together over 200 meals a day through the Senior Center making sure that our seniors of the Magic Valley are fed. She previously ran a non-profit for years filling food boxes to help people who couldn’t afford much. The nominator says she is the most amazing person they have ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Dee Cunningham - Dee is an administrator at River Rock Assisted Living. She loves the elderly community and is very loving and giving according to the nominator. The nominator said, "I have literally seen her take her shoes off and give them to someone that needed them,". Dee cares for her employees as well as the residents and would do anything for them and has on numerous occasions. Thank you Dee for all you do!

Mary Eisen - According to the nominator, Mary retired as a nurse from Twin Falls Clinic and Hospital and was very good at her profession. The nominator said Mary is very compassionate and caring. The reason she was nominated by the nominee was because of the care she exhibits to her neighbors on Meadows Lane. She takes care of all her neighbors and the nominator says Mary has been seen shoveling her neighbor's walks in the winter and also helped a widow lady with her gardening in the spring. One winter she was even outside with her rubber boots and ice pick breaking up ice in the gutter. If she sees a good buy somewhere on a product, she’ll even pick up extra and distribute it to her neighbors. The nominator says Mary genuinely cares for her neighbors, which is something you don't see much anymore.
