Before I share with you the location of this exciting addition to one of Twin Falls parks, I'd like to let it be known that I stepped in a rather large pile of dog dookie in the process of delivering this story. The horrendous-smelling glob--I'm guessing the breed was a Husky-- then traveled from my right shoe, to my gas pedal, to the floor mat in my car, before I noticed. Remember to always pick up after your dogs when visiting area parks. It's the right thing to do, so a person doesn't have to unknowingly track it into their car, and have to pull into the Walgreens parking lot to use an empty, discarded cigarette box to scrape it from their new pair of Nike shoes. Journalism can be foul-smelling at times.

Moving on! My wife came home from work the other day and was excited to tell me that Pierce Park, located at the corner of Pierce and Shoup Streets in Twin Falls, just put in a play area. This is terrific news for us because we just bought a new home on Polk, and it's just a short walk for us. Prior to the new addition, the park consisted of just a tennis/basketball court combo, and maybe 70 yards of grass.

Now, check this bad boy out!

I want to thank the workers, and of the city, for adding this to the area. It's great to see money go into additions that benefit Twin Falls youth. Now if they could just install one of those dog poop stations....that would be great. I'm off to clean my shoe...again.
