Another day, another place closing in the Magic Valley. It has become a common theme lately, especially in the last couple of years. Since the pandemic has happened, many places have had to close locations or close their doors entirely. It isn't uncommon to hear rumors about a place closing in the Magic Valley, and more often than not they end up being true. Another rumor began circulating recently, and sadly, once again this one is true, meaning another restaurant has closed for good in Twin Falls.

Rumors began circulating late last week about Johnny Carino's going out of business in the Magic Valley, and the rumors have turned out to be true. Sadly, the restaurant closed its doors late last week, and a sign is currently on their door, that you can see above. The good news is, as the sign states, that there is still a Johnny Carino's semi-close if you have a craving for them, but the bad news is that by semi-close, it is still a two-hour drive. Italian restaurants have not had the most success in the Magic Valley with Tomato's having closed three years ago, leaving Olive Garden as one of the few options left in Twin Falls.

Carino's is the first major restaurant in 2025 to announce they are closing their doors for good, but sadly it will likely not be the last. In 2024 many restaurants closed in the Magic Valley, and it didn't matter if they were local or major chains. Closing less than a week into the new year has caught customers in Twin Falls off guard, but with how suddenly places have closed, it should come as no surprise. The restaurant had a good location near the mall and was one of the first eating options people saw as they entered town, and offered a good ambiance and good eating options. Sadly, their time has ended, leaving a void in eating options in Twin Falls.

While there is no denying that Carino's closing is sad and has customers disappointed, the question will now turn to what will feel the vacant area, knowing that the building is a good location and will be a wanted spot for any potential new restaurant moving to Twin Falls. For now, we will sit back and wait to see what the future holds and grieve at the loss of Johnny's Carino's in the Magic Valley.
