Everyone seems to have a cell phone, and screen time is typically multiple hours a day for many. Some use their phones to create content for a living, others like to record everything, while others are always on social media or texting, and some can't function without being on their phone. Sadly, far too many in Idaho have their faces so much in their screens that they are missing out on life. It can waste time spent with kids, hinder the experience of life, and ruin relationships. Far too many in Idaho are spending so much time on their phones that it could kill their intimate life with their partners and spouses, but is it?

While living in your phone for work is one thing, far too many spend too much time on their screens. With being unable to put down their phones, it would seem many are hurting their intimate lives. According to a recent study on bespokesurgical.com, it is actually the opposite. More screen time appears to lead to more sex in relationships. What are people doing on their phones to increase their intimacy with their partners? They could be looking at things, talking sexually with people, or finding someone to be intimate with as well. It appears that both singles and those in relationships have a better intimate life, the more screen time they have. This goes against what most would assume.

Before you get excited and think this means you need to constantly be on your phone or computer, that isn't the case. According to the study, those who spend time on screens for work are actually less intimate. Screen fatigue is real, and by being on a screen from 9-5 each day, they prefer not to scroll when they get home. Taking some time to scroll through your phone after work could help in the bedroom. The national average shows that Americans spend 10.8 hours a day on their screens and are intimate 7.9 times per month. How do you compare to the national average? Despite the data, most refuse to think screen time plays a factor, with 39.9 percent saying it doesn't affect them at all, 45.7 percent saying it decreases their desires, and only 14.4 percent saying it increases their drive, and 63 percent say that they have chosen non-sexual screen activities over sex.
