Such a tragic story. On February 23, 1997, near the Lincoln and Gooding County border, two-year-old Ruben Felix disappeared. Over 25 years later and there are still no better answers for the family.

Idaho Cold Cases shared the story of Ruben Felix and his family. The two-year-old went missing from a family gathering at a home on Tenupa Ranch. Unfortunately, I have not been able to find more information on Tenupa Ranch but I am sure people way more familiar with the Shoshone area know exactly where it is.

Ruben Felix went missing around 4:30 pm and the family searched for him for approximately two hours before calling the police. A search was conducted of nearby dams and the river edge. In fact, they have searched the area numerous times.

According to reports, a few members of the family that were at the gathering returned to Mexico the next day, and their van was actually found in Arizona burned out. The family is in disagreement as to what happened to the child but they are hopeful for some answers still.

They were able to find Ruben's tracks and followed them quite a distance through things like pastures, railroad tracks, and tiny footprints at the river's edge. If you know anything about the incident please contact the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office or the Idaho State Tip Line 1-844-847-4040 or 1-800-THE-LOST
