Twin Falls Is Changing, But Is The Town Better or Worse?
Twin Falls is rapidly growing, and through the process, there have been many changes. There have been new neighborhoods developed, new shopping centers, some businesses have left town to make room for others, and traffic has increased through the years. While a town growing can be good, there can be an argument that Twin has gotten worse through all the changes. Those that are born and raised here, seem to not like the town growing and changing before their eyes, but for some younger generations, they enjoy having more options for shopping and eating. Are all the changes happening around Twin Falls making the town a better place to live or is it ruining the town and making it worse?
Twin Falls is Changing
For better or worse, Twin Falls is changing, and it isn't going to slow down anytime soon, if ever. Places once called Twin Falls home are long gone, and places that most never dreamed would be open in the Magic Valley have moved in, or are planning to move in. The problem is, do the residents want these changes? While In-N-Out and Raising Canes might appeal to some, do they appeal to most residents? While Some shopping options are nice in the area, would a Macy's or Victoria's Secret be preferred to return more than what moved in? Stores, restaurants, and companies come and go in every market, but those aren't the only changes happening in Twin Falls.
Is Twin Falls Better or Worse Now?
The traffic increase has made Twin Falls worse, and it has shown in the amount of wrecks that are reported weekly. More people equals more wrecks, and more wrecks mean the slowing of traffic. More houses have popped up in the area, but they are building more on the outer limits of Twin Falls, which isn't as much of a concern, and allows residents a chance to upgrade to a bigger and newer home. There are more job opportunities with all the new places, but sometimes the employees hired aren't fit for the job and make for poor customer service. Crime has increased as the town has grown. There are cases for both ways, but it depends on what Twin Falls you know. The longer you have been here, the worse it may seem, whereas the less someone has been here, they might enjoy the changes and growth of the town.
The town will continue to change, and unfortunately, the only way to avoid it would be to move. The Twin Falls that many once knew will never be the same or return, but that doesn't mean the new Twin Falls can't be a great place to call home. Not everyone enjoys change and it can be hard to adapt, but if you give it a chance, it might not be as bad as you think. Do you like the changes or do you prefer the old days of Twin Falls?
