KEZJ's Boomer reported that a Shetland pony by the name of Patches was stolen from it's Rupert home on Saturday night. An unknown individual attached Patches to their vehicle and dragged him for more than a mile on asphalt. The pony was then dragged down a gravel canal bank, ripping the skin from his body.

Patches could not sustain his injuries and was put down on Sunday, September 6th.

Daniela Rodriguez Lopez set up a gofundme page to raise funds in order to offer a reward for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the sick individuals that destroyed Patches.
