According to a recent article on financebuzz.com, there are many items taken from stores, and Target has figured out what most thieves are taking. The tenth most taken item is skincare. While you should never steal, skincare makes sense as it is easy to put in a bag or pocket and is something many need. 

#9 Accessories

Accessories can be a few things, but lead more towards watches, purses, bags, and other items to complete your outfit. These, too, are easy to put in a bag and can be pricey items. Often these are in places behind glass or with a tag to stop them from being stolen.

Not an item you would think many would steal, but socks come in at number eight. Again, while no one should ever steal, taking socks might be the one item that the store wouldn't want back, especially if they have been worn. It wouldn't be surprising if socks are on this, mainly because they are easy to forget to ring up.

Baby formula can be expensive, and when a mom is low on money and has a fussy baby, they may do things they wouldn't normally do. Mom brain is a real thing, and it is possible that a mom may forget to ring an item up due to lack of sleep or a crying baby, or because she is desperate to get it for her new child.

Perhaps the easiest item to shoplift is cosmetics due to their usual small size and how easy it is to put in a pocket or bag without being caught. This is why many stores have cameras in these sections, and while it might be easy to sneak away with it, you are likely to get caught.

Printer ink is something many need but don't want to pay for. It is typically on the more expensive side and isn't much cheaper online or at other stores. If you need ink and are low on cash, it is understandable, but stealing isn't the way to go.
