TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) -- If you saw smoke coming from a house in the south end of Twin Falls on Thursday, don't worry, it wasn't a real fire.

Correction: the flames were real, the smoke was real, the house was real, but it wasn't a real emergency.

Fire crews from the Twin Falls Fire Department were there, donned in their fire gear and with water hoses, for fire training at an abandoned house on Washington Street South.

Fire training such as this happens at least once a year, but it often fools passerby who think there's a real emergency going on -- unless they see the temporary road signs that alert drivers that it is training that's going on and not anything to worry about.

This story will be updated. News Radio 1310 has reached out to the fire department for additional information.
