Pedestrian Struck in Fruitland Crash
A 59-year-old male from Boise died after being struck by a vehicle in Fruitland, Idaho. He succumbed to his injuries at the hospital on Wednesday, October 2, 2024. The crash occurred at the intersection of NW 16th Street and Allen Avenue, near St. Lukes .
Coroner to Release Details
The Ada County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased and determine the official cause and manner of death.
Incident Details
According to a press release from the Idaho State Police, a 43-year-old male from Payette, Idaho, was driving eastbound on Northwest 16th Street in a 2007 Chevrolet Uplander when he struck the pedestrian, who was walking in the lane of travel. The pedestrian was airlifted to a local hospital, where he later passed away.
Investigation Ongoing
Idaho State Police were assisted by the Payette County Sheriff’s Office, Fruitland Police Department, and Payette County Paramedics. This incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police.

Twin Falls County Crash
On September 30, 2024, a 2017 Kenworth semi rolled over in Twin Falls County, killing a 19-year-old male passenger on the scene. The crash, which occurred at N 2800 E and E 3200 N, left the 47-year-old driver and a 20-year-old passenger hospitalized. The vehicle had driven off the shoulder before overturning and coming to a rest in a field. All occupants were wearing seatbelts.
Jerome County Crash
Also on September 30, 2024, a two-vehicle crash in Jerome County resulted in the death of a 43-year-old female driver. The collision occurred when a semi driver failed to stop at a stop sign, leading the woman’s car to collide with the trailer. The semi driver, a 26-year-old male, was arrested for vehicular manslaughter.
