Fatal Crash on US93 in Jerome County Leaves One Dead

JEROME, Idaho – A two-vehicle crash on Tuesday morning along US93 in Jerome County claimed the life of a Filer man, according to Idaho State Police.

Crash Details

The accident occurred at approximately 7:50 a.m. on February 18, 2025, at the intersection of US93 and 100 South. Authorities say a 54-year-old man from Filer was driving a 2005 Subaru Legacy northbound when he attempted to turn left onto 100 South from US93. As he made the turn, a southbound 2019 Ford F250, driven by a 25-year-old man from Bellevue, collided with his vehicle.

54-Year-Old Man From Fier, Idaho Did Not Survive

The 54-year-old Filer man driving the Subaru was not wearing a seatbelt and sustained critical injuries. He was taken to a nearby hospital by ambulance. He later died from his injuries. The Ford driver, who was wearing a seatbelt, was not taken to the hospital for treatment.

Roadway Impact

The crash blocked the intersection for about three hours while crews worked to clear the scene. Idaho State Police continue to investigate the incident.

Other Recent Fatal Accidents in Idaho

This accident follows other recent fatal accidents on Idaho roadways. A two-vehicle crash in Twin Falls County claimed the lives of two individuals on February 6, 2025, when a young driver from Burley, ID crossed the center line and crashed head-on into an oncoming vehicle.

Earlier in February, a 23-year-old man from Meridian, Idaho, died at the scene of a two-car accident in Ada County. The man was driving a Kia when he struck the back of a Subaru. His Kia became disabled in the roadway. He exited his vehicle and was struck by oncoming traffic.
