Every teenager is going to try and lie to their parents at one point or another. It's part of growing up. Some kids might put a lot of thought and preparation into their lie. Because of this, they might be a better liar than you.

The Daily Mail reported that 1,000 people of all ages were studied by Researchers at Amsterdam University while they were hooked up to a lie detector. During the study they found that teenagers were the best liars.

They also found that kids between six and nine told fewer lies than any other age group.

According to the study, kids between 13 and 17 were more likely to lie and get away with it than any other age group.  Teenagers tell the most lies out of anyone else.  On average, people tell just over two lies a day, but 60% of teenagers tell around five.
