Winter Storm in The Magic Valley
It was difficult for any Magic Valley resident to sleep last night. Winds gusted up to 40 miles an hour, snow began to swirl and cover the roads just enough to make them a sheet of ice!
Visibility was extremely low this morning before sunrise and didn't improve much as the morning went on. Several accidents occurred in Twin Falls before 8am including a slide off on south Blue Lakes and an accident on Washington.
One school district closed due to road and weather conditions. Other schools were delayed.
Josh Palmer with The City of Twin Falls, urges motorists to please slow down and use extra caution when driving today. The city crews are working to apply sand and salt on the roads but it is going to take some time.
Weather conditions will continue to be cloudy with snow showers and strong winds throughout the day and into the evening.
