Don’t Miss the Best Fourth of July Event in the Gem State

The Fourth of July is fast approaching and many in the Magic Valley are beginning to purchase fireworks, buy food, and make plans for the holiday. This year, it falls on a Friday, making it even better, knowing you can stay out late and not have to get up for work the next day. It allows everyone three days to have fun and celebrate their independence without being stressed or too tired. One of the best events to celebrate the holiday each year is in Buhl, and this year will be no different as Sagebrush Days is the best place to be on the Fourth of July in Idaho.

Sagebrush Days in Buhl

There is no better place in Idaho to celebrate the Fourth of July than in Buhl. Sagebrush Days is a multi-day event that many from around the state flock to each year to enjoy the holiday. It has become a tradition for many families, and while some may come for only the parade, which is one of the best you will find anywhere, many also stay for the day and take in all the event has to offer. It all starts on July 3 with a fish fry dinner, but that is only the beginning. The next morning there is a pancake breakfast, a fun run, and the headliner of course is the parade that takes place on the morning of the Fourth of July followed by fun festivities in the park all day long. The day ends with a fireworks show, but that isn't where Sagebrush Days ends. The final event is the infamous Guns vs Hoses softball game that will take place on July 5 in the evening.

Schedule for Sagebrush Days in Buhl

On Thursday, July 3 Sagebrush Days will kick off at the Buhl Senior Center where you can enjoy a fish fry dinner from 4 PM to 8 PM. The next morning you can enjoy a pancake breakfast at the same Buhl Senior Center from 6 AM to 10 AM. The parade that draws in thousands of people will begin at 10 AM, but you will want to get there bright and early to reserve your spot because roads will begin closing around 9 AM. With construction around the town, getting in and out of Buhl will be a little more complicated this year. After the parade, stick around and head to the city park in Buhl to enjoy vendors, food trucks, activities, and more. Stick around until the sun goes down and enjoy the fireworks show.
