It’s safe to say that summer is coming to an end; the kids are already back in school, college football starts this weekend, and fall decorations will be here soon. When I say soon, I mean right now.

Multiple stores in Twin Falls are already selling fall-themed items, such as decorations and Halloween candy. Just a reminder, the first day of fall is September 22nd and we’re still more than a week away from Labor Day. Seriously, there are fall decorations in stores already!

Even the highly-anticipated Pumpkin Spice Latte is showing up earlier than expected. According to the New York Daily News, Dunkin Donuts locations with roll out their PSL goodies on August 28th and you can bet that Starbucks isn't far behind.

The most absurd thing in stores right now is the Halloween candy, because let’s get real for a second; any Halloween candy you buy now won’t even make it to the end of September. Don’t lie to yourself.

Retail stores like to decorate and get things out early, giving consumers more time to buy these items while also leaving no chance for shelves to be empty between holiday events. Once the holiday passes, they quickly move on to the next thing. From a logistical standpoint, it makes a lot of sense. The hard part is understanding why fall decor is here while it's still 90 degrees outside.

What do you think? Is it too early for fall decorations and Halloween products to be in stores?
