Spring officially began this week, and spring break has been happening for most of the Magic Valley this past week. As the week off winds down, there won't be as many events this weekend, but there is still enough to get out of the house and still enjoy those final few days of the break. The weather might be a little chilly this weekend, but that doesn't mean you should stay inside unless you are resting from a trip this past week. For those looking for something to do this weekend, here are some of the events taking place in the Magic Valley.

With the kiddos out of school this week, you may be looking for a way to get them out of the house. Perhaps a morning trip to Rupert would help, by attending the 4-H Spring Break Mini Classes. You do not have to be a member of 4-H to participate, but you will need to register on-site. Classes are only $10 and are for children aged 8 to 13. They can take all eight classes or any number they choose. Classes offered include survival, cats, wildlife, bicycle rodeo, candy making, food science, gardening, and pom-pom gnomes. Classes begin at 10 AM on Thursday and Friday and go until 3 PM. For more details, make sure to click the link above.

Getting the kids out of the house is a must, especially as spring break gets closer to the end. One way to do so is to take them to a fun and delicious activity that they will enjoy. At Rudy's on Main Street in Twin Falls this Friday, Ryan from Crumbs will be teaching little chefs how to make a dessert parfait. The event is $30 and is from 9 AM to 10 AM. It may be a little early for dessert, but it will be worth it. The kids will learn to make something sweet and learn proper cooking habits as well. Click the link above for more details.

The Twin Falls Public Library is always putting on events and offering something fun for the public. Every Saturday they offer a free movie matinee from 3 PM to 5 PM and this week is no different. This a great way to get out of the house and do something fun for free. Kids don't care if you spend money at the movie theater or go free to the library, they just want to watch a movie and get out of the house. Click the link above to see the full calendar at the Twin Falls Public Library and stop by to get a list of the movies coming up soon.
