It is finally here. One of the best events of the year is taking place this Thursday, as Death by Chocolate will be held at the Canyon Crest Event Center from 6 PM to 9 PM. Tickets are available for $20 if you get them in advance or $25 at the door the night of. There are five different categories to enjoy, live music, raffles, a silent auction, and free water. Thursday, January 29 - Open Mic Night: Short Stories and Poetry
Many people in the Magic Valley enjoy writing and are good at it. Poetry, short stories, or perhaps even a book is what you prefer to write. If you write poetry or short stories and want to share them or hear what others in the area are writing, make sure to stop by the Twin Falls Public Library this Thursday at 6:30 PM for Open Mic Night: Short Stories and Poetry. Friday. January 30 and Saturday, January 31 - 'High School Musical Jr.'
If you are looking for some great entertainment and to get out of the house for some fun, make sure to head to the Orpheum Theatre this weekend. There are always great plays and musicals being performed, and this weekend they will be having 'High School Musical Jr'. Saturday, January 31 - AWOL Scuba Course

An AWOL scuba course will be offered at Banbury Hotsprings this Saturday at 1 PM for those wanting to learn how to scuba dive. The class costs $47.70 per person. Another fun annual event happening this weekend is the CSI Boxing Smoker. The event will be happening Saturday night at the CSI Expo Center. Doors will open at 5:30 PM with the event beginning at 7 PM, and you can watch locals duke it out in the ring. The proceeds from the event go towards helping the CSI rodeo teams. Saturday, January 31 - Open Dance: Boots and Beats
Do you enjoy dancing? Do you want to learn country line dancing? Get out and shake your booty this Saturday at Open Dance: Boots and Beats. The event will be happening at Hayloft Hall in Twin Falls at 243 5th Avenue South and will be from 8 PM to 10 PM. The event is to help support the CSI coed cheer team and to help send them to nationals. There will be open dance and country line dance lessons every 20 minutes. Tickets to the event are only $15.
