It’s Time: Don’t Forget To Change Your Clocks in ID, WA, and UT
For months, many have been anticipating when the time change would happen. They haven't been waiting because they are excited for it, but instead because they want it to be over with so they can adjust to their new sleeping schedule, the darkness earlier in the evening, and not have to worry about missing it. The time change is always a hassle, and nobody enjoys it, although the fall one is the lesser of two evils. The wait is over, and the time change is finally happening in Idaho, Washington, and Utah, and this year comes at a good time.
Clocks Fall Back in Idaho, Washington, and Utah
This is the weekend. This Sunday, November 2, is when you will change your clocks back one hour at 2 AM and be able to gain an extra hour of your weekend. You can sleep in a little bit, get some work done around the house, watch another episode of the show you are binging, or relax and enjoy an extra hour of your weekend. The first few days and weeks take adjusting, as despite the days being shorter lately, nothing truly prepares you for the darkness that ensues before 6 PM every night. It makes it tougher to stay awake in the evenings, but it does make it easier to put the kids to bed and allow you to enjoy some peace and quiet, or to go to bed earlier yourself.
Side Effects of Time Change in Idaho, Washington, and Utah
While some don't view the time change as a big deal, others struggle with it for days and even weeks. It can take a toll, especially on those with families. While it can be easy to trick kids, some are smart enough to realize their bodies are not tired or perhaps too tired from the time change. It can throw off their sleep patterns, make getting them to bed tough, or have them waking up in the middle of the night. This also affects parents, who then are missing out on much-needed hours of sleep, which can lead to depression, mood swings, and be bad for mental health. The time changes take a toll, and the quicker everyone adjusts, the better, but for some, it takes a little bit of time.

Make sure to get some rest this weekend; you will have an extra hour to do so. The good news is that most computers and phones automatically update the time change, so you don't have to, but if you have any clocks around the home, the ones in your vehicle, or anywhere else, make sure to change them this weekend and enjoy the darker days ahead.
