The weather is still warm, and the summer season continues to unfold, despite schools starting up again. While students are adjusting to getting up early once more, preparing for a long school year, and getting familiar with their new teachers and classmates, because the summer break is over, many parents are wondering how long until the long summer days go away, and darkness begins to consume us all daily as days get shorter. It has been a while since the clocks were changed, and many are wondering when they will fall back and how long until the next time change takes place in Idaho, Washington, and Utah.

It seems like it has been a while since the clocks were last changed, and that is because they sprang forward back on March 9. Most think that the time changes are six months apart, meaning the time to change back should be fast approaching, but that is not the case. Do not fret or panic, you have plenty of time as the clocks will not fall back until November 2 this year. You have a couple more months of extra daylight, and your child's current semester will be more than half over before the time change. To some, this will be good news, while others will be disappointed to have to wait so much longer. If many get their way, changing clocks will no longer be a thing moving forward.

For those unaware, Hawaii and Arizona are currently the only two states that do not change their clocks, and most other states are envious of them. It has long been debated and continues to be brought up twice a year: Will Daylight Saving Time go away? It throws off sleep schedules, takes time to adjust, and is a hassle to nearly everyone, yet it continues to occur each year, while residents in the two states listed above get to enjoy not changing their clocks and dealing without the hassle. If those two states don't have to change, why do the others? Hope is high that soon it will end, but this year is not that year, and make sure to mark your calendars for Sunday, November 2.

Continue to enjoy daylight when you drive home from work, take your kids to practices, and get some time outdoors after work while you can. There are still plenty of weeks to go before clocks will be changed, but when that time comes, it will be driving home in the dark, putting kids to bed early, and days without seeing daylight if you work long shifts.
