It seems like it hasn't been that long since the clock fell backward, but it is almost that time again. Twice a year the clocks get moved an hour, backwards in the fall and forward in the spring. Many dread the time change each year, and unfortunately, the time to do so once again is fast approaching. The good news is this change will give everyone more daylight, allowing people to drive home in the daylight from work instead of in the dark or while the sun is setting. When do you need to change those clocks and spring them forward to make sure you make it on time to work and all your appointments?

Don't panic yet, the time change is still a few weeks away, but it is fast approaching. This year, the change will be taking place earlier in the year, as clocks will spring forward on Sunday, March 9. This is around five months after falling backward last year in November. The time change, as always will occur at 2 AM, so make sure to set a reminder to change them before bed. Unfortunately, this is the change that will cost you an hour of sleep, but it will be nice to have more daylight in the evening as spring begins this year.

With the change taking place so early in the year, it will mean more months of longer daylight, as the clocks won't change again for 7 months. Clocks will fall back this year on November 2, giving everyone plenty of time to enjoy the change and not have to worry about their clocks going back and forth. Many protested Daylight Saving Time and hoped that eventually it would go away, but for 2025, things will stay the same.

Enjoy the early darkness a little longer, as its time is coming to an end shortly. Loss of sleep will make everyone cranky for a week or two in March, but then everyone can enjoy more daylight in the evenings, allowing for evening walks, playing in the yard, or more evening activities after work and school. It isn't ideal to change the clocks, but if you are unhappy with it, you can always move to Hawaii or Arizona, where the clocks stay the same all year.
