Over the course of being married for 11 years, I have realized that the only way to win an argument happily with my wife is to admit defeat. But, things may soon change. According to a new study, the key to ending an argument is to dim the lights.

The researchers found that bright lights make people more emotional and aggressive (much like the Mogwai in Gremlins). When they dimmed the lights, the couples got less upset and it helped end their arguments.

So, I have decided that the next argument I have I will walk over to the light switch and kill the lights. I bet it will work too...at least the first time when she is so confused at what just happened she may forget we were even arguing. Then I'll turn on Donna Summer.
