Be on the Lookout and Prepare for Pranks in the Magic Valley
The school year is coming to an end and that means that soon students will be roaming the streets during the day, teenagers will be driving down the streets, and kids will be crowding parks, pools, and stores to entertain themselves. While summer break is almost here, there are still a few more days left of school, and for some even a week or two left. As the school year gets closer and closer to ending, pranks will happen, students will make bad choices, and some things that shouldn't happen will take place. It is important to be mindful of what time of year it is but to never take a prank too lightly. Make sure to be on the lookout for possible threats, pranks, and teenagers being teenagers over the week or two in the Magic Valley.
School Pranks in the Magic Valley
Most of us remember the days of being a senior in high school and wanting to be a part of a senior prank. Some missed out because they were too afraid to do one or never heard what the plan was, while others were able to do one and create a legacy at their school. Some pranks are harmless and funny and everyone, including the staff, enjoys them, while others go too far and can damage property or hurt individuals. Then some pranks put everyone on notice and put lives in danger, get authorities involved, and are more of a criminal act than a prank. While everyone is on high alert at schools across the Gem State this time of year and preparing for some sort of prank, it is important to also not take any 'prank' lightly.
Good and Bad Senior Pranks in Idaho
Over the last few weeks seniors across the Gem State have been pulling off pranks at their schools, some funny, some destructive, and some illegal. While most would assume many of the pranks are done, that doesn't mean other seniors won't try to do one of their own or that there won't be copycat pranks. Once a prank happens, it can at times cause a fever to want to do more. As seen in the picture in the paragraph above, Canyon Ridge High School had seniors who decided to fork the lawn at school. While it isn't great for the lawn, overall this is a good prank that nobody gets hurt and isn't damaging. Over at Filer, it was a different story when some students got into the school at night and moved equipment and furniture in the hallways and gym, and covered the floor in baby oil, delaying school from starting the following day on time. You can read more about that prank by clicking the link. Finally, someone posted online a threat to an Idaho school earlier this month, which luckily led to nothing, but shows you can never be too safe. You can read about that by clicking here.

Be aware of the potential of pranks this time of year, and have a good sense of humor, but also don't take any threats lightly, as it is better to be safe. Make sure to talk to your children and explain to them what is acceptable and what isn't. For more on the pranks that have been attempted, make sure to click the links above.
