Wind Advisory for Tuesday in Parts of Magic Valley
(KLIX) - A wind advisory has been issued for southwest and south-central Idaho starting in the early morning hours of Tuesday until about noon the same day.
The National Weather Service issued the advisory on Monday afternoon, saying winds from the northwest on Tuesday will reach between 25 and 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
The advisory is for western Magic Valley, including southwest portions of Twin Falls County, as well as the Owyhee Mountains, Southwest Highlands and the Upper Treasure Valley.
“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects,” the advisory cautions. “Small tree limbs could be blown down.”
Also, if you thought Monday was cold, Tuesday will be even colder.
Wind chill will be near zero Tuesday morning. Light snow is also expected with local blowing and drifting snow, slick roads, and reduced visibility.
What should you do?
Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
