The week building up to Halloween is often just as much fun, if not more, than the holiday itself. Sitting down every night to watch scary or Halloween-themed movies, as the weather outside puts you into the mood is a great way to get ready for the holiday. Outside of the movies, there are often many haunted attractions to attend as well. With many of us being in the Halloween spirit and wanting to find and experience haunted and scary things, it raises the question, what is the most haunted place in the state of Idaho this Halloween?

Lovers of scary shows have often dreamed about entering and spending a night in a real haunted house, and while many of these places are illegal to enter and explore, the thought still looms large for many. Idaho is home to many haunted places but there is one haunted house in Idaho that has been dubbed as the most haunted place in the state by House Beautiful. The Home is located in Boise, at 805 W Linden Street, and often goes by the name of 'The Murder House,' or by its other name, 'The Chop Chop House.' Unfortunately, you can not enter the home as it is occupied, but going by the house will give you goosebumps alone.

While the name may sound like a fancy restaurant you would want to visit, this home and its history are far from it. In 1987 a man, Preston Murr, was murdered in the basement of the home. What makes this story even more traumatizing is Murr escaped from his murderers in the night and ran to a nearby home seeking help. Unfortunately, the neighbor did not answer the door, leaving Murr to be taken back into the home where he was ultimately murdered and chopped up into pieces. In the years that have followed, residents have reported some creepy occurrences in the basement.

While living in a home where somebody has been murdered may not seem like that big of a deal to some, when odd occurrences begin, it changes things a little bit. Over the years residents that have lived in the home have mentioned blood dripping down the walls, a weird feel in the room, and the basement feeling creepy and off. Weird noises have been heard around the house and shadowy figures have been seen, when nobody was in the house. While there is no way to prove these stories, as time goes on the fables grow as they get spread from person to person.

While you can't visit the home currently, odds are it will be available for rent eventually. The reputation will continue to spread and the rumors will escalate, but knowing there is a haunted house in Idaho is fascinating and a little creepy. While your house may not feel off, this story makes me want to do some research on my home now and if anything has taken place in it. I may need to sell my home, depending on what I find. You may not own or live in a haunted home, but make sure to enjoy all the haunted attractions you can attend this Halloween season.

The Perrine Bridge by itself isn't that big of a deal in the fear-factor category until you decide to do a BASE jump. That's when the fear level goes up to 10. Other places are just scary as the bridge.
