With Memorial Day having passed, many are now focused on summer. Most schools are out now for the season, the weather has gotten warmer, and it is time to enjoy one of the best times of the year in the Magic Valley. The days of being stuck inside are over; this is the time of year to get out and have some fun. The summer offers many events throughout the season, and every weekend is packed with fun things to do. Friday, May 30 Through Sunday, June 1 - Western Days
It doesn't feel like summer in Twin Falls until Western Days takes place, and this weekend is that weekend. It will be happening Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in Twin Falls City Park, as well as there will be a parade on Saturday morning, beginning at 9 AM. Western Days will kick off on Friday at noon and end at 9 PM. It will go from 9 AM to 9 PM on Saturday, and from noon to 9 PM on Sunday. Friday, May 30 and Saturday, May 31 - Vintage Vixens Market
One of the best shopping experiences of the year is when Vintage Vixens Market takes place. It only happens twice a year, during the fall and at the beginning of summer, so you never want to miss it. It will be happening this Friday and Saturday at the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds in Filer. They will be open from 10 AM to 7 PM on Friday and from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday. Friday, May 30, and Saturday, May 31 - Ground Control Studio
With the beginning of the weekend expected to be warm, it isn't a bad idea to find a nice cool theatre to stay out of the sun. This Friday and Saturday Ground Control Studio will be performing at the Orpheum Theatre in Twin Falls. There will be a show on Friday at 7 PM and two shows on Saturday, with one at 1 PM and another at 7 PM. Friday, May 30 - Hip Hop Showcase
There is something about live music that makes a weekend better and this weekend if you enjoy hip hop, you are going to want to stop by Big Papa's Grill in Twin Falls on Friday. They will be hosting Hip Hop Showcase from 8 PM to 1 AM. Doors open at 7 PM. Performing will be N Tune, RMFM, Castle, and more. You must be 21 or older to attend and it is $10 to enter. Saturday, May 31 - Funk Rock with The Jauntee
If you want more music or can't attend Friday, then make sure to make your way to Big Papa's Grill on Saturday for more live music, this time with Funk Rock with The Jauntee. Doors will open at 4 PM with music from 5 PM to midnight. This event also will be for those 21 and older and it will be $20 at the door. Saturday, May 31 - Pride Kickoff: Rising Stars
Pride Week is beginning and it will all kick off this weekend with Pride Kickoff: Rising Stars at Lamphouse Theater. The show will begin at 8 PM and go until 10 PM.
